Foil fusing

Foil fusing is a process where foil is bonded to a toner image area that was created using either a laser printer or a copy machine under high temperature. This finishing method allows creating unique covers, diplomas, certificates, invitations, postcards, etc.

Foil fusing technology

This technology may be divided into two steps: printing on paper and foiling itself. Foiling is done by laminator under high pressure and temperature. Passing through hot rolls, foil is bonded to a toner and, removing foil waste, we get a beautifully finished image.

Foil fusing differs from foil stamping, as the latter method requires a die to be heated.

The downside of foil fusing is impossibility to apply quality foil finish to uneven surface of creative and textured papers.
