Hardcover products are durable and can be a stylish decoration for any bookshelf, while also being an excellent gift. Hardcover binding production is a complicated technological process. Large part of hardcover binding operations is automated, but bookbinding industry still has a number of manual stages, especially in case of single copies.
A book has internal block (also called textblock) made of folded signatures which is attached to cover (case).
Cover is usually made of cardboard covered with paper, cloth, vinyl or leather.
Inside parts of the cover are attached to the block with endpapers which can have a printed pattern or image.
